Title: Sr. Software Engineer -- Solar Team
Job Code: 5302
Description of Responsibilities: Design, select and develop user interface software architecture with the capability to support a software framework that integrates components and hardware into a fully operational system. Responsible for the coding, testing, and debugging an interface that meets the needs of internal/external customer fab software systems. Recruit, lead, and guide the work of junior level staff. Work closely with equipment engineering and process teams to obtain tool design and operating requirements that are to be used in the company’s proprietary layer transfer process. Document software specifications for use in R&D to full pilot production tools that can be sold and licensed to customers.
Experience: Experience in object oriented software design code and development in semiconductor equipment manufacturing with the following hardware components; high vacuum systems and wafer handling systems. Knowledge of bonding and cleaving for layer transfer processes a plus. Background in electronics, mechanical, firmware/controllers, and overall software to hardware integration within the semiconductor or solar industry is required.
Skills: Detail oriented, high energy, self motivated individual(s) with strong communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of an organization. Aptitude and ability to diagnose complex and unique software issues. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications. Strong background and experience using visual programming languages such as Labview or UNIX for data acquisition, instrument control, and industrial automation on Microsoft Office platform. 3D CAD design software, C++,and PLC control systems knowledge a plus. Ability to manage the work of Jr. level staff.
Education:B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Software) or equivalent experience. At least 8 years in software design and development.

Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer -- Solar Team

Description of Responsibilities: Act as the lead engineer to perform mechanical and finite element analysis to define and design hardware system architectures for tools using Solidworks. Recruit, lead, and guide the work of junior level staff. Ability to execute and lead design review meetings with current equipment engineering, process and software team to obtain final tool design and operating requirements that are to be used in the company’s proprietary layer transfer process. Document hardware design specifications for use in R&D tool to full pilot production tool that can be sold and licensed to customers.
Experience:Experience in hardware design and development in semiconductor equipment manufacturing with the desire to expand knowledge base to solar equipment applications. Strong knowledge and background in material handling mechanisms including vacuum, servo, integration of mechanisms, robotics, and temperature control systems experience. Knowledge of bonding, and/or cleave technologies related to layer transfer is a plus. Background in electronics, mechanical, firmware/controllers, and overall hardware to software design integration within the semiconductor or solar industry is required.

Title: Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer -- Solar Team

Description of Responsibilities: Define and specify the computer hardware and architecture to be used in the design and development of an electrical and control system for power distribution (in-house or subcontracted) and used in the company’s proprietary layer transfer process. Perform platform selection analysis and recommend appropriate solutions to meet equipment performance milestones.

Debug a wide range of electrical issues in the areas of Servo system design, interlocks, safety, wire harnesses/schematics to achieve a singe measurement and acquisition PCB design. Recruit, lead, and guide the work of junior level staff. Ability to obtain final tool design with current equipment engineering, process and software team to obtain final tool design and operating requirements that are to be used in the company’s proprietary layer transfer process. Document specifications for use in R&D tool to full pilot production tool that can be sold and licensed to customers. Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports.
Experience: Hands-on experience in electrical design and development in semiconductor equipment manufacturing with the desire to expand knowledge base to solar equipment applications. Strong knowledge and background in material handling mechanisms and high voltage, including AC/DC power supplies are a plus. Knowledge of bonding, and/or cleave technologies related to layer transfer is a plus. Background in electronics, mechanical, firmware/controllers, and overall design integration within the semiconductor or solar industry is required.
